North Cardiff Cosmos FC were delighted to welcome Soffia Kelly, current Wales and Aston Villa goalkeeper, to watch our Under 7 Girls games at Ocean Park on Sunday 26th October 2025.
Soffia brought along her official Welsh cap, taking time to speak with the girls about her inspiring football journey — from grassroots beginnings to representing her country on the international stage.
The girls were thrilled to meet her, and loved getting the chance to hold the cap, ask questions, and take photos with a real Welsh international!
Soffia was joined by her mum Soraya Kelly, along with family friends Bernie and Mark Davies, who are proud grandparents of one of our U7 players. Together, they’ve all done incredible work promoting girls’ football, as well as championing equality, diversity, and inclusion within the sport.
Everyone at North Cardiff Cosmos would like to extend a huge thank you to Soffia and her family for taking the time to support and inspire our young players. It was a truly memorable day for our U7 Girls team — and one they’ll never forget!
