With the 2025 TCS London Marathon fast approaching on Sunday, April 27, Sarah Rowe (Girls Lead, North Cardiff Cosmos FC) is making her final fundraising push in support of Barnardo’s Cymru. Having already surpassed her initial £500 target, raising £507 from 23 supporters, Sarah is determined to go even further to aid children and families across Wales.
This marks Sarah’s second London Marathon, having previously run in 2019 for the same cause. Now entering her tenth year with Barnardo’s, she continues to witness firsthand the deepening challenges faced by families, particularly in the wake of the cost-of-living crisis. Funds raised will contribute to the Barnardo’s Crisis Fund, which has already provided nearly £20,000 in emergency support to families in Cwm Taf, addressing urgent needs like safe sleeping arrangements for children.
