Several age groups brought their pre-season to an end, at a big 'Super Saturday' event at our Llanishen Park home.
With one week to go until the start of their 2024/25 season, five of our Mini age groups played host to clubs from across South Wales for a morning of football on the last day of August.
Our Under 7 Boys kicked off our Super Saturday event at 9am, playing games against Radyr Rangers FC and Afan United.
Following those matches, it was a 10:30am kick-off for our Under 8 Boys, Under 9 Boys and Under 11 Boys teams. The Under 8 Boys were up against Brackla Football Club, whilst our Under 9 Boys and Under 11 Boys both faced off against Holton Road AFC teams of the same age.
The final pre-season game kicked off at 11am, with our Under 10 Boys lining up against St. Joseph’s AFC.
The sun was out, and spectators got to enjoy countless games of entertaining football throughout the morning. Most importantly, the players on every team had big smiles on their faces!
We were also able to generate further funds for the club through sales of hot drinks and soft drinks. Thank you to all of those who volunteered to work at the shop for us – it makes a huge difference to what we can do at the club.
This event was a great way to end pre-season, and we’d like to thank all of the clubs, players, coaches and parents/guardians who attended and made it possible.
Now to start the season!
